Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our London team. The ideal candidate will lead a team responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving facilities, equipment, and machinery to ensure the smooth operation of our production processes. This role requires a strong understanding of maintenance principles, exceptional leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance personnel to maintain, repair, and improve facilities, equipment, and machinery.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and ensure the longevity of our assets.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance tasks, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely manner with minimal disruption to production.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
  • Train and mentor team members to enhance their technical skills and career development.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs, ensuring budget targets are met or exceeded.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes and increase efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory levels, and equipment histories.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, ensuring that they are resolved safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of maintenance principles, machinery, and equipment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and their implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with other departments and senior management.
  • A strong focus on safety, with the ability to ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience.
